My academic journey began at Govt. Islamia College Civil Lines, where I completed my Intermediate studies (Aug 2014 – Sep 2016) with a focus on pre-engineering subjects. I then pursued my Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of the Punjab (Oct 2016 – Sep 2020), where I built a strong foundation in theoretical and experimental physics. During my BS, I completed a notable project on Electric Field and Voltage Analysis of Copper Sheet using ANSYS Electric, gaining experience in finite element analysis and computational simulation.
Professionally, I entered the education sector in Oct 2020 as a Physics Teacher at Rakan Group of Schools, where I designed interactive lessons, conducted experiments, and provided individual mentorship to improve students’ understanding of physics. In Jun 2021, I advanced to Lecturer of Physics at Superior Group of Colleges (Punjab Group), where I taught over 200 students annually, redesigned laboratory activities, and updated curriculum content to align with modern engineering trends, significantly improving exam pass rates.
In Jul 2024, I transitioned into the technology and industry sector, joining Daira Engineering Pvt Ltd as an Optical Engineer. Here, I design and optimize AR/VR optical systems using Ansys Optics (Zemax, Lumerical, Speos), conduct tolerance analysis, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop smart glasses and waveguide-based optical systems. My work also involves researching advanced coatings and materials for high-performance consumer electronics.
Over the years, I have developed strong technical skills in optical design software (Zemax OpticStudio, Lumerical, Speos, ANSYS Workbench), programming basics in Python, CAD design (PTC Creo Parametric), and digital literacy tools (Microsoft Office, Codes::Block, VS Code). I am fluent in Urdu and Punjabi, and proficient in English (C1 in listening/reading, B2 in speaking/writing).
My combined experience in teaching, research, and industry-level optical engineering enables me to bridge the gap between academic concepts and their technological applications. I am passionate about making physics engaging for students while staying at the forefront of optical innovations.
